Jerome Hymes has been a prolific designer and artist since his youth. After serving in the Marine Corps, he studied architecture at the New School of Architecture and Design in San Diego, California and earned his Bachelors of Art in Architecture.
Along with practicing building architecture for 18 years, Mr. Hymes has always had a passion for landscape design, conservation and sustainability which is evident in his work.
Mr. Hymes is also Vice President of the Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego. His experience includes landscape architecture, building architecture, producing construction documents for K-12 schools, mixed use, urban design and sustainable design projects. He holds an Associates Degree in Landscape Architecture and has practiced for 6 years.
Mr. Hymes has also earned certifications in the Professional Green Certificate Program at one of the nation's leading Green Industry Schools, San Diego State University. This includes the Green Building Construction Certificate (green building commissioning and LEED for new construction); Green Energy Management Certificate (energy efficiency, evaluation and design, environmental economics and policy making, and energy auditing); Sustainable Practices Certificate (designing and maintaining green facilities, high performance green commercial offices and sustainable residential design).
Mr. Hymes earnestly strives to provide uniquely beautiful and functional landscape designs for every client. His designs are buttressed by his extensive education and knowledge of plant science, soil science, arboriculture, advanced irrigation design and water management.
